I took a little Thanksgiving break from scrappy deadlines and played with my Paper Camelia November kit, full of lovely Crate Paper goodies.  I loved this picture of my son and hubby so I kept the design of the layout simple with the focus on the picture.

Treasure Hunt - Cocoa Daisy with Heidi Swapp

While I was matching up my pictures with the Cocoa Daisy November kit I laid this picture by the title card and knew it was a perfect match.  

The layout went together easily, but was missing something...  

Then I added the slanted striped pieces and the layout got the energy it was missing and worked!

Week 10 & 11 - Simple Stories

I just finished up some layouts using the newest Life Documented collection from Simple Stories; you will have to wait a little bit to see those though :)

I can share my next few weeks of Project Life that I completed using the Life Documented collection.  This collection was amazing to use.  I had all the cards I needed to put together 4 weeks and the extras went perfectly!  Thank you Simple Stories for simplifying my Project Life project.

I was balancing on top of my son's wooden train track and totally forgot to take pictures of each week.  I guess I should get a picture of the train track that is spread everywhere in our loft/scrap area!

I just received some Elle's Studio Christmas goodies and when I saw their sketch this week I had to jump in and play...

It was nice getting back to some real white space, makes me feel like I can breathe a little better.

Be All of You - Cocoa Daisy and Heidi Swapp

I decided to splurge and get a Cocoa Daisy subscription with my latest paycheck.  I haven't subscribed to anything in so long, so this was a nice little treat.  I received my kit Tuesday evening and couldn't wait to put something together.  This layout came together almost instantly using the circle wood veneers.

Every year I make a layout documenting our son's journey with diabetes.  4 years since he was diagnosed he is strong and healthy with only 1 other hospital stay.  The Lord has been so good to us and we continue to belive in Vinny's complete healing.  I can't wait to document that day!

Little Boys and Stinky Feet - My Mind's Eye

I had to play today; so I left all of my responsibilities to get a little play time in today and I am feeling much better now!  :)  I started with the My Mind's Eye challenge to document gratitude.  

I have so much to be grateful for, enough to blow your mind in all that is going on in our lives.  I chose this cute little picture of some of my boys because sometimes I forget how blessed I am and just want to pull my hair out (with 6 at home all day everyday I'm sure you can imagine)!

I had played with these black and white strips earlier, but today it clicked.  

I had the title in my mind for a few days, couldn't resist with that foot right in the picture.

Precious Memories - Bella Blvd

I was on the Bella Blvd blog yesterday with this layout about my son.  I chose to use the Christmas Cheer collection, but my picture wasn't a Christmas picture.  Sometimes products just work with certain pictures and so I run with it!  What do you think?  Have you ever done the same?

Anna Griffin - Angelic Card Toppers

More Anna Griffin work!  Again this was a card kit, called Angelic Card Toppers, it was made to go along with the Holiday Card kit.  This kit sold out right away so I never caught any of my projects on TV, but oh well!

Anna Griffin - Cricut

So Anna Griffin works with Cricut, so I received a Cricut Explore to work with.  First of all, I LOVE the dial setting for what paper type you are using, I so wish Silhouette was as easy to work with!  The learning curve made this assignment a little stressful as the Cricut does not make manipulating files as easy as the Silhouette.  But, after A LOT of playing I came up with these cards made with the Anna Griffin Christmas Kitsch cartridge.
