I was on the Simple Stories blog this week where I shared a fun secret and a few layouts I created!  Here's another layout that I shared using the Hello Baby collection.  Stop by the blog to check out the details!

This was Rocky's first taste of green beans, couldn't resist adding some green and the title.  The little messy threads are the mess that he was splattering, lol!

Unbreakable Bond - Teresa Collins

I used a sketch from Creative Scrappers for this layout using the new Teresa Collins collection.

I'm not a huge fan of using sketches as I love the freedom of just creating.  But sometimes I have already laid out my pictures and picked my papers and I go looking for that something that I am missing.  For me that something was the circle from the sketch.  I chose to sew my circle so that it was only a subtle hint to my story.  I then found some cut words which furthered my page about the bond between these brothers.

Today I am up on the Pebbles blog with yet another layout about one of my boys (with 5 boys, I've got plenty of material, lol)!  I'd love for you to stop by and let me know what you think of that layout.  Here's a peak...

Also, I have a box of goodies for someone with a US address, if you would like to win a box of Pebbles please follow me on my new instagram account and leave me a comment with your e-mail so that I can contact the winner.

See you tomorrow with some brand new Simple Stories!

This Happened - American Crafts/Amy Tangerine

If you follow me on FB you might have seen these pictures.  This past Mother's Day, after church, hubby and I headed to the beach.  All was good, sunning/resting/talking on the sand...

and then we decided to go boogy boarding!  Let's just say the waves won.
Amy Tangerine's Plus One was the perfect collection to document our sunny day.  I never thought I would use this split paper and yet it was perfect for the before and after!

Have a great weekend, I will see you Monday both here and on the Pebbles blog!

Everyday Wonder - American Crafts/Amy Tangerine

I finally am all caught up with assignments and just getting a chance to play!  I took this picture last week and so I decided to get it scrapped b/c it was so sweet.

I played with Amy Tangerine's newest collection.  The clouds came from one of her older collections.  I sure love those brush script words!

Week 37- Teresa Collins

Week 37, everyday moments - school, family time, noc-to-logy as my son likes to call it!

some details...

embossing and stamping

On my next card I wanted some shiny stars to show off my son's schoolwork.  I used molding paste with some gold paint mixed together and a Heidi Swapp stencil.  Once I removed the stencil I poured some glitter on the stars to really make them pop!

Some love around those fat little fingers!

I wanted a little more glitter on my page and I wanted this card to really stand out.  I used stickles on the words, tied some twine with a tag and add a cut from my cameo.

Thanks for joining me in a look at my week!

Summer It's all Good - Simple Stories

Here is a layout I created using the Good Day Sunshine collection.  I was completely taken with this ombre paper!  To me it shouted slide pictures.  A few chevrons, some striped paper, and arrows make the perfect page!

I haven't heard from my NSD winner, so anyone that is interested in a box of goodies that has a US address, e-mail me with your mailing info and it is yours.  Ready, Set, Go!

Week 34 & 35 - Simple Stories

I am totally in love with Simple Stories newest collection - Good Day Sunshine.  I couldn't resist making a Project Life spread with what was left after designing with the collection.

So what do you think of this collection, wonderful huh?

Together Place

This was another layout I created from my March Paper Camelia kit - this was a mixture of Basic Grey, MME, and Crate Paper.  I actually assembled the layout a few weeks ago and then I found the perfect picture, added the this is our together and the few word pieces and called it done.  Love it!

Weeks 36 and 39, and a year in review - Teresa Collins

Pocket pages, Project Life, Documenting Life no matter what you choose to call it I have decided I am hooked!  I started PL in August when our 6th child was born.  I decided to keep my spreads to one page so that I wouldn't become overwhelmed finding material to document.  Sometimes I choose to do 2 page spreads such as my pages documenting Easter that you all saw on NSD.  I really appreciated all the comments you left about that spread you really gave me confidence in my PL skills!

I also wondered when I started PL if it would take away from my scrapping time (precious as that is), but what I've found is it allows me to get all the moments documented and then I have plenty of time to just have fun when I layout scrap.  I don't have to scrap everything now because it is already documented and so my layouts have become more about emotions/thoughts then actual events which gives me more freedom!

So here are some new pages using Teresa Collins products and We R Memory Keepers album pages.

My next pages document my year at 36, life has been pretty crazy over the past year and I wanted to get everything down that influenced me this year before I turn 37.

REMOVED FOR PUBLICATION

and some detail shots...

I wanted to add some catchy bling to my layout so...
1.  I grabbed a Crate Paper frame, gold glitter, and xyron double sided tape from my Teresa Collins adhesive kit.
2.  Line the frame with the double sided tape.
3.  Sprinkle glitter.
4.  Be amazed at your sparkly brainstorm, lol!

Here is a look at this past week, week 39 for me...

and the details...

Modeling paste makes for a great title piece with little dimension.  My "stencil" came from fussy cutting the word from one of the 3x4 cards.

And how about some "sand"?  I created a pocket using the packaging from the Daily Stories package.  I poured sequins into the pouch and then sewed the sides a little closer in to fit on my picture.

I really enjoyed thinking out of the box on my pages and just having fun documenting our life.  It is important to me to get the daily days down in our books because life is just going to fast.  As a SAHM and homeschooler sometimes I can get buried in the grind of daily life, but I realize how blessed I am when I take some time to really look at all the good that occurs each week in our lives.

And to leave you with a layout that kind of just fell together with the pieces that were on my desk...

I'm not sure if it will be the preceding page for week 39 or go into Rocky's book, but either way I couldn't resist using the rest of my pictures that I had printed.

Happy - Crate Paper

I haven't heard from my NSD winner yet, please contact me ASAP.
Congrats go to...
Beautiful pages, love the embellishments and details!

I joined in at Paper Camelia for their sketch challenge.  I used my March kit which featured Crate Paper; I am loving this line!

I thought the yellow circles that I cut from the Basic Grey paper looked like seashells and since my son was having me photograph each and every shell he picked up it was the perfect embellishment!

How about some circles to start off the week?  We were challenged to incorporate circles into our designs today at Bella Blvd and I instantly thought of bubbles!

These pictures are from last year, but we are already beginning to make some memories this summer as the pool isn't too cold anymore and it sure is HOT out!

National Scrapbook Day - Pebbles Blog Hop

The Pebbles Design Team has been busy gearing up for National Scrapbook Day. Each of our talented designers have created layouts and memory keeping projects using Pebbles product. Here's a quick sneak peek at all of them...
  Pebbles NSD Graphic

Welcome to my blog!  I hope you are having a great day crafting away and thank you for taking the time to stop by and visit.

I have been doing Project Life for almost a year now (I started in August when our 6th child was born).  I usually just do a one page spread for the week, but certain times I need more.  Today I am showing my Easter spread and it is a double page because I had so many great pictures and memories I wanted to include.

I read that someone puts any embellishments that are thicker than cardboard on the outside of their page protectors, so I have been trying that for the past few weeks.  I love that it makes my cards lay flat, but I am not sure if the embellishments will get caught on other things, so undecided as of yet if this works for me.

Here are some close-ups of my spread using Pebbles Garden Party.

The ladybug is outside of the page protector because I love foam dots!

My pocket is inside the page protector, but because it is in the front the opening to the pocket is right at the opening of the page protector.

And finally the spread put together.

Thanks for joining me today.  I'd love for you to follow my blog (feedly and bloglovin buttons are on my sidebar) and my Facebook page (again on my sidebar), leave me a comment on this post for a chance to win a goodie box of Pebbles and Bella Blvd products.  (US addresses only, sorry.  Winner will be chosen Sunday night.)  Stop by in a few more hours for a Bella Blvd post and another chance to win!
