Life is Wonder Full - Bella Blvd

This layout was made using the Bella Blvd We're Expecting and Baby Boy lines and appears on page 16 of the Bella catalog!

I decided to trim up the feather a little bit to fit better on my layout.  Don't be afraid to take scissors to them it makes a mess, but it is worth it!

Love you to the Moon and Back - Pebbles

I absolutely adore this page!  I did a photo shoot of Rocky at 3 months and printed these out before I played with any settings just to see.  I layed them down on my table while I was working on another project and this was the piece they ended up on.  I loved it so much that I decided to keep things simple except for some titlework.

I used the Front Porch collection from Pebbles which was one of my favorite ever!

Here's the final picture I went with in all of its edited glory thanks to my sister!

Celebrating You - Simple Stories

I had to try this brush script trend!  It actually was a lot of fun, but since I am a very structured person I found it a little hard to use on my page.  Guess I'll have to keep trying.

I used Simple Stories Say Cheese for this page and my Cameo.  I cut out a background of balloons and then used a few colored balloons to make my page pop.

Week 26 & 27 - Simple Stories

I used the Homespun collection from Simple Stories to document these next weeks.  I am in love with the new clear stickers!!!

So I have passed the halfway mark and documented over half of our little one's life.  I never thought that I would enjoy PL as much as I do.  I am so glad I started, but glad that I made it work for me (one page per week).  I am so surprised at how FULL our weeks are, I thought we didn't do anything but school, lol!

Notice something else fun?  Yep, that is me with a fish!  I actually enjoy fishing.  Hubby and I go out back while the kids rest and just enjoy life, who would have ever thought.  No I don't touch the fish (and hubby uses gloves), but I fish!

Week 24 & 25 - Pebbles & Bella Blvd

I used some of the great Pebbles PL cards for these weeks - Lakeside.  Even though these pictures weren't Lakeside they were perfect for beach side!

I love using the Bella Blvd stickers to embellish my PL pages, they have all the right sayings and chipboard pieces.

2014 Love List

I finally took our Christmas picture!  Yep, it is February so I totally missed doing our Christmas card this year, but I am loving scrapping these photos with all the great Valentine's products that are out.

I scrapped this picture using the Studio Calico kit Sugar Rush.  I never thought I would use this striped paper, but it was the perfect color for this picture.

My first ever cover!

I thought I'd take the day to share something very special, my very first cover!  I was thrilled when I got an e-mail from PaperCrafts & Scrapbooking a few months ago letting me know my Easter page was going to be on the cover.  While I really miss the touchable Creating Keepsakes with an abundance of layouts, the online Paper Crafts and Scrapbooking is done very nicely.

Here is a link to preview the magazine (you can also see another page I created on page 4).  You can purchase a subscription (or one issue) here.

For those that did purchase the magazine I have layouts on pages 30, 36, 51.

Foxy Ladies - Bella Blvd

Red, pink, white non-Valentine layout, hmmm...  how about some girl time then?  Pedicures in the sand buckets in the tub!  This is Tracy's best friend who moved away just a few months ago, every month the girls have a sleepover and dream up many interesting activities to keep themselves entertained.  This is just one of the activities from our January sleepover!

This was on the Bella Blvd blog on Monday, stop by and see some of the close-ups and my thoughts on why I designed my page in this way.

Blessed Everyday - Simple Stories

One last Daily Grind layout to share - the camera is part of the sn@p pages and it worked perfectly to highlight this picture of my boys!

Have you noticed that all of these layouts using the Daily Grind collection followed a similar design?  I was totally on a diagonal kick here!  And so I thought I would share the sketch I made to fit this basic design, enjoy!

Family Love - Simple Stories

I am so excited to have my first blog post up on the Simple Stories blog tomorrow!  To get this party started a little early I thought I would show one of the pages I made for CHA (Can you believe my stuff made it to CHA?  So thrilled for the experience and grateful to Simple Stories for the opportunity!) using the Homespun collection.

I absolutely loved the colors of this collection and those doilies are wonderful too!

Make sure you check out the Simple Stories blog tomorrow and join me next week for even more of my projects I created for CHA and a giveaway!

Valentine's Cards - Pebbles

It is almost Valentine's Day and I am ahead of the game this year!  I have made some cards to share with you using the fun Yours Truly collection from Pebbles.  I love this line and have made many different layouts using this collection (check out the June 2014 Scrapbook Trends issue for one of these and my Love Bug layout on the Pebbles blog).

I started with the cardmaking pad and then cut the Hello bubble out, slid the envelope behind it and popped up the hello!  Love the dimentsion it added.

The basic heart stickers looked great coming out of the envelope with a little bit of faux stitching.

I again started with the cardmaking pad

this time I added some stickers and some glitter glue to give my card some love!

Today I am on the Pebbles blog with some cards in addition to the ones shown here, stop by and let me know what you think of them!

Let's Party - Bella Blvd

I decided to do something totally different for me, something totally new for What's New Wednesday at Bella Blvd.  I started my layout by pulling my pictures into my Silhouette program and designing a layout on the computer.  I used some great cut files from one of my fellow Bella Blvd DT members, Nicole Nowosad created for Scrapbook & Cards Today to create my background and some elements that I used to embellish my page.

I am eagerly awaiting all of Bella's new collections, so while I waited I decided to grab my bag of scraps from this past release and play.  I used different pieces of my favorites to back the balloons and the sun to add some color to my birthday layout.  I absolutely love the paper pieces which gave me a place to put my sub-title.  The border pieces are always fun and they added the perfect birthday touch to my layout.

I now have a birthday layout designed for future use and can quickly document the many birthdays that happen in our house!

Supply List:
High Five Alpha Stickers:  Black-White
Playdate:  Little Birdie, Park Play
Snapshots:  Borders, Paper Pieces, Daily Details
Christmas Countdown:  Daily Details

Happiness Found - Elle's Studio

I played along with Elle's Studio's Sketchy Thursday this week since I had some new goodies just waiting.  This was a picture from when Vinny was in the hospital in December; such a scary few days and yet such a wonderful picture to document the bond that father and son have.

Only You

Remember This?  I shared this layout a few weeks ago and just wasn't very pleased with it.  My scrappy friend Suzanna offered some suggestions and that started the wheels churing...

and this is the new layout

So what do you think?  I am much happier with this!
