Our Life - Fancy Pants

One last layout from my November Memorable Seasons kit and some step-by-step photos

I issued a recipe challenge with this layout.
The requirements...
(3) 4x6 rectangles
(2) circular elements
(1) 1/2 x 12 strip (Berta is 1/2 x either side)
(1) ribbon

Embellishments, cardstock, mist/inks, and pictures are all extra and may be added as you see fit.

Here is what my first step looked like in creating this layout...

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are getting some great deals today!  We are decorating for Christmas here, it is like seeing old friends with all of our decorations.

Magic Today

I wanted to wrap up my son as a gift because that is exactly what he is to us!

Some Crate Paper and odds and ends from my scrappy stash and my Christmas box finished up this layout.
Have a wonderful day tomorrow as you celebrate Thanksgiving, blessings on you!

Hopes & Dreams

With Black Friday looming it is time to finish up those Christmas layouts from last years Christmas.  I created these a little bit ago, but was saving them for a more appropriate time.  I am having a hard time believing that another year is almost past!

I used some Crate Paper and Echo Park goodies for this layout, somewhat untraditional but so is our daughter!  Are you ready for Christmas?  :)

Adventure - Simple Stories

Even though it doesn't feel much like fall here in FL I still have a few pictures that I can scrap from our years in VA.  I made this layout awhile ago, but I never shared it here and seeing that it is fall time, it is the perfect time to share!

You all know I have a deep love for Simple Stories, I usually pick one collection each release to purchase completely and then I will choose a few pieces from the other lines that I can't live without.  This layout is a combination of 24/7 and Urban Traveler

Every year we have a fall family photo shoot - we take our annual Christmas picture and I take pictures of each of the kids.  I have been waiting for the leaves to fall because that is my signal to pull out the tripod, but obviously I need to find something else to let me know b/c fall has already come and almost gone so I guess I had better get to snapping!

Real Life Sweetness - Pebbles

I thought these papers from the Me to You collection looked just like ice cream; they were the perfect choice to document this sweet treat.

Here is a picture of the background that I started with, drips of "ice cream"

And a few close-ups

The saying was a sticker in a frame that I cut apart to put on my chipboard piece.

Doilies, thread, mist are all things that can be used to fill blank spots without adding any bulk.

The hearts are rub-ons, they go on so smoothly!

A little dimentsion to make the title even sweeter.

Thanks for stopping by, see you tomorrow with some Bella goodies!

Christmas Cards with Pebbles

Once I got past the fact that it was 80 degrees and I was wearing shorts, I really enjoyed creating my Christmas cards, LOL!  These were made with the Pebbles collections Front Porch and From Me to You, neither which are holiday collections, but don't you think they make great Christmas cards?

I had this idea of a snowman looking up at the stars in the sky, BUT...  that took some thought to achieve!  The sentiment was stamped with the roller stamp and then I cut it out, inked the piece and outlined it.  The stars are punched with my Martha Stewart punch from the AC glitter cardstock.  Mr. Snowman is modeling a twine scarf.  So what do you think of my snowman?  :)

Here are a few close-ups

My next card was quite simple, but I love Christmas trees and I really wanted to use the glitter dots and the roller stamp.  I cut strips of green paper in smaller sizes to create my tree and then I decorated with some Zazz glitter glue and stamped the words Joy, Peace, and Love on the tree.  The crowing glory are these wonderful wooden veneer stars from Studio Calico - I need another few packs of these!

Stop on by the Pebbles blog to see the details about the other 2 cards I created!

The Good Life - Simple Stories

I wanted to try using a grid with the Snap cards from Simple Stories.  I thought the chevron pattern looked like an arrow and so I used it to point to my picture of the boys playing at the beach.  I picked my picture and cards and then went searching for a blue piece to use as my background, this piece is from the Smarty Pants line.  The clouds and pinwheel came from the I Heart Summer Line.

See you tomorrow for some Project Life pages!

Everyday Magic - Simple Stories

I have been drooling over the Simple Stories Snap sets that came out recently, but I couldn't decide which pack to buy.  I needed them all, but the pocket book said pick one :(

So I finally decided on the Everyday set and of course then the 4x6 cards were sold out so this layout is made using the 3x4 cards, a sticker from the I Heart Summer collection, chipboard from the Say Cheese collection, and the background paper was from the Urban Traveler Line.

I am loving these new wood veneers from Studio Calico, I really should have bought a few more packs!

Now for a giveaway!  I am lurking on the web somewhere today and I'm really excited about it, can you spot me?  Leave a comment here letting me know where you found me and like me on my facebook page, and you're entered.  I will pick a winner next Friday for some 6x6 Simple Story paper pads.

See you Monday with a few more Simple Stories projects!

Collecting Moments - Fancy Pants

Here is another layout from my Memorable Seasons kit.
This was based on inspiration from our member Ginni - she is a total shape junkie, so I thought I'd work with some rectangles and a circle thrown in for good measure!

Ultimate Adventure - Fancy Pants

Another month has arrived and I got to play with Fancy Pants - Collecting Moments for Memorable Seasons.  The first challenge up this month is our sketch challenge.

Here is the image...

I chose the third one on the left side to create this...
