Design case file winner

Here is my entry for this blog challenge, it was really quite fun! It was about pictures on the diagonal and these pictures from Dutch Wonderland jumped into my head. Perfect match! I actually won the contest for this week. Can't wait to see what the challenge is next. http://divinescrapbooking.blogspot.com/

Miracles!

Today is 30 weeks and we had another u/s - this time we had results we've been praying for! My placenta has completely moved out of the way and there is no more need for a c-section! The baby is large (and very active - but I've been saying that for weeks now) and growing about 1-2 weeks ahead of schedule, but not a problem. Baby weighs about 3.5lbs right now; I wonder how big this one will get with another 10 weeks to go??? I had completely talked myself into a c-section as that was reality so now I need to get back into gear of natural childbirth plus the fact that I will be waiting the full 40 weeks. I'm disappointed that I won't be able to attend any of Inspired seeing that is when I am due, but maybe next year. I need to remember that this baby is a new season/fufillment - I might need to fight for things, but the Lord has promised. Miracles!

Springtime - not really

Today was a beautiful day out, very springy, but the temp was still a little cold! I had to wake the boys from their naps to go pick up Buggie and didn't put on jackets, they were shivering b/c they were so cold! Poor things. I am really looking forward to spring weather and it doesn't seem like this area can decide what temp it should be at. Tracy did a paint project at school today during art so when she got home she had to show the boys so they have been creating all night. It is a picture of all their hands, this might be one that I will actually hold on to! Marc kept saying he had to go potty and actually grabbed daddy's hand to help him put "bubbles" in the potty. He stood there for probably 5 minutes and actually put bubbles in the potty so he got his potty prize. He is quite proud of himself right now. I'm not sure that I am ready for this potty business again, I'm not very good at it. Tomorrow is another u/s for me at 30 weeks, I guess we will see find out what to expect then (hopefully).

Stop on in!

Today was definitely a day when people stopped in. We got to see Miss Betty today who was on her way home from TN. So good to visit, I think the last time was before Christmas! Then Miss Katy stopped in to say hi to Miss Betty. We've been missing Miss Katy so it was good to see her again also. Who would have ever thought that I'd see more people stop by my "house" now then when we really had a house! Gone is the days of not getting ready in the morning! Today was dance day and worship practice. We tried some Taco Bell and it was pretty good. Covered another Alg II today for another teacher. Time for bed! Here are some layouts I completed yesterday for different sketches (one at 52 sketches and one for SD4U):

Day 2 of the house

Well Daddy spent the whole day over at "tractor home bump" and things are looking good. The kids spent a very relaxing day here at home. I did some more laundry and put quite a few things away. The day went well and we survived, that is the key right now!

A week in review

Okay, so I've not done a good job this week keeping up with my project 365! So I thought I'd recap real quick. Monday - dr's appt, no school, too cold for Daddy to work on the house, I am sick - again. Tuesday - Today was somewhat warm so Daddy is working on the house - 3 walls scaffel high now! I took Tracy and the boys to dance class and then we got dinner, met Daddy back here at the apartment and rushed off to worship practice - How are we ever going to get through this process????? Wednesday - school, QVC, and a cold day Thursday - Mother's Day Out so Marc went to "school" from 9-11 and Mommy had some free time, I didn't really have anything to do, but it sure was quiet here! We went to Red Robin tonight the kids love playing the "claw" and getting balloons. Friday - school, Bruiser wanted to stay for lunch and playtime so Marc and I headed out for lunch at Wendy's, at about 3 we talked Daddy into taking us to Roanoke and I got a few more larger maternity things. While I was shopping, Daddy called Holly and arranged a babysitter for us so that he could take me to get Creme Brulee at Bookbinders again! First time in 16 years that he arranged something for me without me knowing! Needless to say, it was delicious, but man I was exhausted when we got home. Saturday - Daddy is working today as it is supposed to be in the 50's today. I can't wait to see what he finishes with a warm day at his disposal. We are having a lazy day for now - took care of some laundry and trash, but the kids are relaxing to the full!

QVC day

My favorite show is on today, QVC scrapbooking. Nothing really good on as of yet but I do enjoy having the TV to myself. I stopped in at Michael's today and they had a whole selection of new punches, both border punches and shape punches. I got 2 and found a coupon so that I can go back and get some more, maybe I will try them tomorrow as I took off for Mother's Day Out (or in in my case). For some reason the kids are still up, Michael was supposed to be putting them to bed and letting me watch QVC but that didn't happen. So, got to run!

A long day

Today is finally over, at least in my world. Some Sundays are restful and some are not so restful; today was not so restful even though I fell asleep some today. We had to rush out this am as we were running about 10 minutes late for practice. Marc decided he did not want to go to his class today. We came home and instead of putting the kids down for a nap didn't really do anything - so we ended up with no one taking a real nap and didn't leave to go out either. We finally got our act together and took the kids for Happy Meals and then headed to Walmart for groceries where the meltdowns began. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Take me away Calgon. Besides all that, this weekend has really been a nice one; a lovey day weekend as we call it here. Daddy and I headed to Bookbinders where we had a wonderful relaxing meal, but most of all I got my creme brulee and then we headed to Target to get the kids a few little lovey prizes. Saturday was a relaxing day and I even managed to get the kids over to tractor home bump for about an hour (very cold hour). Daddy built the basement corners on Saturday. Tomorrow shouldn't be that bad as we are off from school - but now it is calling for 1-2 inches of snow. I do have a dr's appt tomorrow afternoon, but other than that relaxing day is what I have planned.

Here are my entries for the DT call.

I just sent in my entries for the DT call at SD4U, guess we will see. I'm proud of the layouts I've created - definitely different than my everyday scrapping, I guess you could say these were inspired! So here they are:

What a Day!

I've always heard personally building a house is very stressful - well that isn't even the brink of it! Daddy was working on the basement today - prepping it for the blockwork and mommy was at home pulling out her hair. Today turned windy and colder so I couldn't take the kids outside plus I was too tired to even dream of such a thing. So we spent the day (after school) watching movies, making the valentine's bags, and just getting on each others nerves. I can't begin to imagine what we be like when the house is done - we need a miracle, the shortest time period ever to finish a house!

Wonderful water!

We finally have water again; full powered, hot water! I've experienced power outages and hence no water, but never water that loses power and then stops. Ever since Friday we've been enjoying a lack of water and finally as of this evening daddy fixed the problem - thank goodness.
It was so nice outside today almost 60 today, it definitely made life look different. Fills you with hope again, I guess that is why spring, new life and hope are linked together. I took the kids outside to check on Daddy for awhile and got some pictures.
We have footers as of today- we are finally on our way to see this house built. MIRACLES STILL HAPPEN TODAY!

Day 1

Today was our first day that Daddy was officially building the house - leaving me home with the kids! About 11am we were done, we need a miracle to say the least. This house building business is going to be tough on us all, but at least we are moving forward with our destiny instead of spinning our wheels. I spent the day getting my entries ready for the design call at SD4U, quite pleased with them and I'll post once I take some pictures. The kids watched TV for awhile and then began fighting/playing with each other. The boys especially need some major room to play anymore. Everyone is all washed up now - we don't have any water pressure and not much hot water so that was a chore, but we are all ready for church tomorrow.

Saying good-bye

Today was our friend Katy-O's good-bye party, she is off for a few months to England and other places, but most of all she is off on the road to her destiny. We will miss Katy very much, but we are so proud of her. To think when she gets back from her first trip we will have a baby and possibly a house! Yikes that is a scary thing!!!
Today there was a baby at school, I guess about 3 weeks old - it really was a shock to my system to see one so small again and to think we will be starting again. Marc has gotten so big lately that I hadn't really thought about someone so small again. I'm thinking baby will take a little more getting used to then I had thought.

Week 4 at SD4U!

Here is my layout for this weeks Biggest Loser at SD4U, I am really pleased with how it turned out. Although, I'm not sure of what I think about my daughter in this picture - can this big girl really be our first born??? Here is a link to check out other players in the contest. http://scrapbookdeals4u.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=130

It's a blizzard, or not, or yes???

Okay, so the weather man can't decide what we are having for the next few days here. Last night it started snowing and really came down, but from being so warm (50s) it didn't stick to the road. So the good news was we still had off today??? Anyway, now they are calling for a few inches tonight, some more tomorrow and again tomorrow night! Seeing that we haven't had much snow here since moving to VA I find it hard to believe, but if I didn't have to teach I really wouldn't mind. I love to teach, but with being sick and pregnant I would rather be home right now. On another note, I finished up 2 layouts today and they both turned out really nice. As soon as we get some sunlight I will take pictures and post them. I also just finally found the new Fiskar border punch at 2Peas along with some paper I want to use on an invite for a girl party. Quite pleased with that purchase, now hopefully it will hurry up and get here. I have to run, the kids were supposed to be in bed by now, but they are still up. I made a dessert for tonight too, so as soon as the kids are in bed Daddy and I will enjoy! Yum!

Family Night

So the kids decided that they would prefer mommy's pizza to Papa John's - so much for my dinner plans! So we made homemade pizza again tonight and UPS showed up about an hour before dinner with a new season of Alf. Pizza and movie night; I am really looking forward to being back in a home again - cooking meals and taking care of our family. Anthony brought home his first book today, my little boy reads now and really quite well. It is hard to believe that he is growing up so quickly. It is snowing again tonight so we will see if we have school tomorrow, just a delay will work for me b/c the high schoolers have a field trip today. The kids and I are all sick; Marc is mostly over the cold, Tracy and I are probably the worse right now, and Anthony always seems to just be the same - sick or well. Anthony is a real blessing at nights b/c he always sleeps, thanks Bud!
